Beachport Dispenser

The stainless-steel Beachport Dispenser is built for strength and durability, and is specifically engineered to deliver minerals gradually over a 48–72 hour period. This controlled release ensures all livestock using the water source have consistent access to the minerals.

The dispenser easily screws onto 5 L, 10 L, or 20 L drums and operates using natural air and water pressure. As the minerals are dispensed, water enters the drum to replace the liquid, maintaining a steady flow throughout the dosing period. For best performance, allow the drum to move freely in the trough, as this movement helps distribute the product evenly.

The recommended method for administering Beachport Liquid Minerals is through your livestock water supply using the Beachport Stainless Steel Dispenser. The dispenser easily screws onto a 5 L, 10 L, or 20 L drum. Empty drums are available for purchase if required. If using your own drum, ensure it has never been used to store chemicals, poisons, or other hazardous substances.

For the dispenser to operate correctly, the drum must not be filled completely. Sufficient air space is required to create the air pressure that controls the dosing rate. As a guide, fill the drum to no more than three-quarters of its capacity, ensuring it is at least half full for consistent flow.

The dispenser operates using a balance of air and water pressure. With both the inlet and outlet submerged below the water surface, air is trapped inside the drum to maintain constant pressure. As liquid minerals are dispensed into the trough, an equal volume of water is drawn back into the drum. For example, if 15 L of Beachport Liquid Minerals is placed into a 20 L drum, approximately 15 L of water will have replaced the product after the dosing period.

Important operating notes:

  • Never attach the Beachport Dispenser to a completely full drum of product.
  • Allow the drum to float and move freely in the trough, as this movement assists with even distribution of the minerals throughout the water.
  • When using smaller volumes of product, adding extra clean water to the drum can help reduce excessive air pressure during hot weather, preventing the product from dispensing too quickly.
